Echoes of Us || A Poem
Echoes of Us
In the quiet spaces where we used to speak,
A silence grows that feels too deep.
Once, your laughter was the light I’d chase,
Now, it's just a shadow I can’t replace.
We were closer than the stars in the sky,
Our secrets whispered, our dreams running high.
But time, that thief, pulled us apart,
Leaving an empty space where there once was heart.
I miss the boy who knew my soul,
Who held my hand when the nights grew cold.
Now strangers with memories bittersweet,
We walk different paths on separate streets.
In every sunset, I see your face,
In every dawn, I feel your trace.
But the warmth we shared, the bond so true,
Is now just a memory of me and you.
And though we're lost to different tides,
A part of you in me still resides.
For in my heart, you're never far,
A distant but eternal star.
