Close Bonds Fade || A Poem
Close Bonds Fade
In quiet moments, thoughts arise,
Of a time when we were close,
When laughter filled the spaces wide,
Now lost, like morning’s fading ghost.
Your voice, a whisper in my mind,
Echoes of the days we knew,
But distance grows with passing time,
And memories blur, like morning dew.
I wonder where your journey led,
What dreams you’ve chased, what tears you’ve shed,
But silence holds the answers tight,
As days turn into endless night.
I miss the bond we used to share,
A thread that time has gently frayed,
Yet still, within my heart, I bear,
The hope that someday it’s replayed.
Until then, in the quiet space,
I keep your memory safe, secure,
A piece of you I still embrace,
Though time and distance may obscure.
